UEFN has got the appeal of Fortnite and the complexity of Unreal but just seems simpler and more fun. Students can use many free templates that come with it. much of the Fortnite mesh content is included so they can place items into their island quickly and easily. Beofre they know it they are getting into the flow.
Students will love Metahuman - they make a scan of their friend or family, they can add that face/head onto a metahuman body, create the body structure, and customize hair and features. Easy to add different walks/movement and incredibly relatable.
I learned this was used by architects a lot, but Ive found students flock to this as it's simpler than UE and has a ton of automated things. Students also adore the seasonal environments, making lakes and oceans, even creating several moons of different colors. Totally immersive.
Download the free app on your phone to scan anywhere and everywhere. Your surroundings will never seem this interesting! Scan your friends, family, sleeping dog, etc also! And bring them into UEFN, etc or use them with METAHUMAN!
Fab is your one stop shop for free and paid resources - whether you are needing historcal Korean artifacts or a game design template, it's probably there. They frequently have special free collections. I just grab them and store them easily in my Epic Launcher library!
